Our pursuit of the intelligence of artificial intelligence robots is their active cognitive ability to the world. At present, human research on artificial intelligence is progressing from perception to cognitive progress. Then, what is our current research on cognitive ability? Stage? What issues need to be considered on the way to the goal? At the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Summit, Xu Yangsheng, Principal of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Robotics and Intelligent Systems, presented the technological path, historical evolution, and application cases of intelligent robots.

Academician Xu said that all innovations and advancements in modernization are based on the liberation of the human body, such as the replacement of human labor by robots. But the liberation of the mind and the brain is actually more important. The smart revolution should focus on the heart and brain revolution. The smart age will come, but it is still early. Robots are going to millions of households just like PCs. It was only then that they entered the era of artificial intelligence.

Although I have been engaged in robotics research for more than 30 years and have made many achievements, even I don’t even know what these achievements actually do in real life, but he believes that the accumulated technology of these researches will surely make a big difference in the future. positive effects.

Academician Xu proposed that robots should learn from nature. However, as to whether the robot system should have the future development of “human” and dynamic robots (running and cycling robots), this is still a problem that we need to continuously study.

This is called action.

In the 50 years of historical development of robots, more than 80% of the energy has been placed in the action part. Humans have not yet had this ability to do the first two elements.

In the last 15 years, some people have been more concerned with the second cognitive problem, including neural networks.

Perception is what we get last, and it is precisely the most important thing.

"I have developed a total of 40 or 50 robots."

I probably developed 40 or 50 robots myself. The big robots are probably about the same size as the house. Small ones can be done in blood vessels. I've put out several robots that I studied for everyone to see. There will be some problems, some of which we have already resolved, some of which have not yet been resolved. The second one tells everyone about some problems in the process of robot development. My own feeling is that these problems are my own thoughts. These problems are my problems and may not be your problem, but at least I share with you. The question is where. The last part is my thinking and suggestions. Sharing it with you may have some effect.

First of all, we look at the robot. This is what I did in the first four to five years. It is a robot that climbs a tree. It can crawl on all trees, and thick trees can climb and fine trees can climb. It can be heavier than its body weight four or five times, what kind of things can climb, climb up and down can be. Bamboo can also be crawled, and smooth surfaces can climb.

What are the disadvantages of using it? Can automatic climbing be done? Let it climb, don't tell it how it climbs? The above two solutions have been solved. I didn't know what to do in many cases. I had at least 30 robots. I didn't know half of the robots I did. What's the use, I tell you the truth, there is no use to make it later to see. This is a robot for pets. Everyone took a look at it. It was done for puppies and kittens. We were not at home for two or three days. We took this robot to care for pets at home. Many of the robots started talking to the robot because they could talk to the pet through the mobile phone and the Intel owner. But it couldn't see it. It would scream. The Animal Association of Hong Kong said that it would abuse pets and finally sued the matter. . This is very useful? Where is the problem? How people interact with pets and how to track them is a big problem in artificial robots. Can't understand the call of some animals, this is not easy. I started doing it about ten years ago. I hired a student and came from HIT. After I came to work for half a year, I didn't make anything. In the end, this area basically stopped. I think it is very important for people to interact with animals. About 25 years ago, I was probably in the US, an overseas edition of the People's Daily, and I heard that a farmer in the mountains of northern Sichuan could understand 54 species. He felt that this could not be done. It fell two months later. After a few months the old man was down. I feel very sad when I see this report. I think this is lost. Some of these problems have been solved, and some have not.

The following is a climbing robot. This is the first thing in human history that can be climbed from a soft thing. I don't know what I can do and basically does not destroy the whole body. What about robot planning on flexible objects? I didn't see any such articles. It is unclear how to protect the surface of the clothes while the robot can walk and where the application background is. So this is to share with you some of the robots we are doing.

Let's take a look at the robots that write calligraphy. Some friends know that I prefer to write calligraphy. Now I want to call a robot to write calligraphy. It can learn anybody's calligraphy.
