Expand the world of HDBaseT to meet all needs in the AV field
Beijing, China – April 12, 2017 – The HDBaseT Alliance was unveiled today at InfoComm China 2017, and launched new demonstrations, products and solutions at booth EB4-01. The HDBaseT Alliance is a cross-industry organization dedicated to advancing the HDBaseT standard. It aims to continuously expand HDBaseT products to meet the changing needs of the audiovisual field. The Alliance announced the launch of a 4K 60Hz 4: 4: 4 (18G) transmission solution and will release additional extensions for HDBaseT over IP as soon as possible.
To transmit a complete 4K 60Hz 4: 4: 4 (18G), HDBaseT uses visual lossless compression to limit the delay to a few microseconds to ensure the highest video quality and performance. Before the next-generation HDBaseT chipset is officially launched, HDBaseT can support higher bandwidth, which will enable higher throughput transmission and will support uncompressed HDMI 2.0.
IP-based HDBaseT will expand on the basis of the current capabilities of the HDBaseT solution, and it will bring the following advantages:
• Realize standardized solutions through Ethernet PHY and promote 5Play interoperability between different vendors;
• Can use the existing installation settings to connect the traditional ProAV and IP world;
• Strengthen versatility to integrate different products, from indoor, point-to-point to large-scale cross-campus installation;
• Compliant with HDCP, etc.

The 4K 60Hz 4: 4: 4 solution demonstration will be exhibited at the InfoComm China 2017 (EB4-01 booth # 1) HDBaseT Alliance booth.
