Table tennis also plays high-tech and can play music with playing rhythm

Ping-pong is one of the favourite sporting events for the people of my country, and an American designer recently incorporated interesting modern technology into an ordinary table tennis table.

Designer Mark Wheeler recently showed a project called Ping Pong FM. He embeds a contact microphone on a ping-pong racket and at the same time another Arduino hides the retro radio and designs an app for it.

The purpose of all this is to make the table tennis table play music with the rhythm of playing.

Ping Pong FM works very simply. The microphone on the racquet handle receives the sound of the ping pong ball hitting the racquet and sends it to the Arduino on the radio for processing.

When the table tennis successfully hits the racquet, the application in the Arduino controls the music playback and correctly matches the playing tempo with the music tempo.

Wheeler and his team stated that Ping Pong FM's gameplay is to allow both parties to play ping-pong at a fast enough pace to maintain the music's original rhythm. If one side loses the ball, the music will stop completely. (Author: Ashley Carman, the compiler: Eskimo)
