Nuts recently launched a laser TV priced at 10,000 yuan — the Nut SC Laser TV, which features a brightness of 2000 ANSI lumens and is highly recommended. Compared to the Mi laser TV, the Nut SC has a more textured design, featuring an all-metal, groove-free structure. Its unique automatic "sunroof" sliding mechanism adds a distinctive aesthetic appeal.
One of the standout features of the Nut SC is its ultra-short-throw projection system. When space is limited, Nuts developed an ultra-short-focus rear projection technology and applied it to the first-generation S1 model. This allows for a 100-inch screen to be placed directly on the TV cabinet while maintaining front projection and hanging options. The device supports 1080P resolution, depth-of-field image optimization, 3DLP cinema standards, and other enhanced visual performance features.
The Nut SC uses DMD optical micromirrors, with red light accounting for 16%, offering a more cinematic experience.
In terms of color performance, the Nut SC offers an 85% NTSC color gamut and incorporates HDR technology for improved contrast control. These enhancements make the viewing experience more vivid and realistic.
The audio system features a 10W*2 and 5W*2 symmetrical design, paired with Dolby Sound technology, delivering a balanced and immersive sound experience.
Heat dissipation is another strong point of the Nut SC. It uses three large turbo fans and copper tubes for efficient heat distribution, ensuring stable performance even during extended use.
Nuts also continues to innovate in software, introducing a new layout for the JmGO OS 3.0 system. Designed with a simple, user-friendly interface inspired by Apple’s style, it’s easy to navigate, making it ideal for users of all ages.
Interestingly, the Nut SC's price-performance ratio is similar to that of the Mijia Laser TV, which costs 9,999 yuan. However, as a loyal Xiaomi fan, I was somewhat disappointed. The Mijia claims a brightness of 5000 lumens, but this is not measured in ANSI lumens. In reality, it only provides around 1,500 ANSI lumens, which is misleading and disappointing for a projection product.
While the Nut SC is significantly more expensive at 99,998 yuan compared to the Mijia, it has been in the laser TV market for over two years and clearly holds a stronger technical advantage. Therefore, I would recommend the Nut SC, while hoping that manufacturers, especially domestic ones, continue to bring more high-quality, bright, and eye-catching products to the market.
