Actively promote LED lighting for building a low-carbon society

China is in a period of rapid development of industrialization and urbanization. The coal-based energy structure places China's carbon dioxide emissions at the forefront of the world, but per capita emissions are still much lower than those of developed countries. Therefore, China can assume common but differentiated emission reduction responsibilities. Developed countries should fall from the current level. We are reducing the energy consumed by each additional unit of GDP every year. Secondly, we cannot assume that LED lighting, electric vehicles, wind energy and hydrogen energy will all be used today. The energy conservation and emission reduction of traditional industries and the development of circular economy are the first steps for China to move toward a low-carbon economy. While using traditional lighting, the development of LED and OLED technology is one of the breakthroughs towards a low-carbon economy.

Energy consumption has a terminal amplification effect. Despite the same architecture and the same lighting, different consumer behaviors have a decisive influence on energy consumption.

Energy consumption has a terminal amplification effect. Take the thermal power plant as an example: after the coal is collected, transported, and converted, and then transferred to the power transmission and distribution to the end user, it can only use 1/4 to 1/5 of the original thermal energy of the coal. It is equivalent to saving energy by 4 to 5 degrees. The same is true for cars. In fact, the car is very inefficient. Only 20% of the gasoline is used to propel the car forward. The other 70% to 80% are lost, including the friction loss in the internal combustion engine and the energy taken away by the temperature of the exhaust gas. Decomposing the proportion of energy utilization, researching fuel-saving technologies, improving the efficiency of gasoline engines, and achieving lightweight vehicles can reduce energy consumption.

The automotive industry is moving towards low carbon. In the case of the European Union, the EU now allows 160 grams of carbon emissions in about 1 kilometer. Their goal is to reduce it to 130 grams by 2016 and 95 grams by 2020. The United States is now 216 grams, and by 2016 it is planned to reduce it to 157 grams, which is roughly equivalent to the level of 2006 in Europe. Japan is now 168 grams, and by 2015 it will be reduced to 141 grams. China is now 187 grams, and we promise to reduce it to 132 grams by 2016.

The important aspect of China's terminal energy conservation is building energy conservation, and building energy conservation is imminent. The Tsinghua School, designed in 1905, consumes 34 kWh per year. By 1994, the energy consumption per square meter of energy consumption in a ministry building in Beijing was 113 kWh. The energy consumption is greatly increased because of the large amount of glass used. The main administrative building of the University of Pennsylvania is just completed in the previous year. The annual energy consumption per square meter is 356 kWh. Therefore, there are many unreasonable places in architectural design. Many energy and technology use inappropriate places. The new building design has increased the energy consumption of the old building by 10 times.

An important way to save energy in buildings is to adopt semiconductor LED lighting. The energy consumption of incandescent bulbs is very large. If LED lighting accounts for 1/3 of the lighting market, the annual electricity savings are equivalent to the power generated by two Three Gorges hydropower stations. Europe has stopped the sale of incandescent light bulbs since September 1, 2009, and only LED lights can be sold on the market. What about China? Because the price of LED is ten times that of ordinary light bulbs. Our first entry point should be streetlights, because the streetlights themselves are financially spent, while streetlights take 8 to 10 hours in the summer and 12 hours in the winter. This is the most power-hungry. The energy saving effect of LEDs is 60% less than that of ordinary bulbs and 35% less than that of ordinary fluorescent lamps. It is more expensive now, but according to Hertz's law, the cost will drop by 1/10 every 10 years. After 8 to 10 years, the price is almost the same as the current incandescent bulb.

Despite the same architecture and the same lighting, different consumer behaviors have a decisive influence on energy consumption. Beijing middle-income housing, a residential building in Zhongguancun is a teacher and some researchers, the behavior difference of 25 households is 13 times worse, that is, the summer is to open the air conditioner to 26 degrees or 22, 23 degrees, winter heating is to The room temperature is adjusted to 25, 26 degrees or 18, 20 degrees, and the results are different. Therefore, low-carbon life is to consider environmental energy conservation.

While using traditional power generation and traditional vehicles, the development of advanced manufacturing technologies and the adoption of the Internet of Things are breakthroughs in the low-carbon economy. Third, adjusting the energy structure, developing nuclear energy and renewable energy is the energy base for building a low-carbon society. Fourth, advocating a low-carbon and energy-saving lifestyle in the whole society is the fundamental guarantee for building a low-carbon society.
