Ground loop preventer

The ground loop is caused by improper grounding. The voltage in the ground loop can interfere with the test because the ground loop voltage can be larger than the signal you want to measure. To avoid ground loops, the power cord requires a two-wire plug to connect the test instrument to a separate wire.
