[NetEase Smart News, January 19] Yesterday marked a significant milestone as JD.com, Industrial Bank, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) announced the establishment of the "AI Home Smart Bank Joint Laboratory." As part of this collaboration, they launched a smart speaker with financial service capabilities called the "Societe Generale Bank Intelligent Financial Speaker."
The new intelligent financial speaker from Industrial Bank is designed to revolutionize how customers interact with banking services at home. It serves as a voice-activated portal for "home banking," offering a range of functions such as account registration, login, card linking, account information inquiries, and processing credit card-related tasks through voice commands. The lab also introduced the "Virtual Business Office" voice customer service feature, developed in partnership with Dingdong Smart Speaker. This feature allows customers to access various services like answering bank-related questions, queuing for in-branch services, and booking appointments with their personal relationship managers—all through voice interaction.
Wang Yu, General Manager of the Industrial Bank’s Card and Channel Department, emphasized that the rapid growth of smart home technology has opened up new opportunities for financial innovation. He highlighted the strengths of each partner: Industrial Bank's expertise in financial operations and customer service, JD.com's big data and cloud computing capabilities, and the advanced research in intelligent voice hardware and software. Together, these resources are helping to build a more intelligent and user-friendly home banking experience.
In addition to this collaboration, JD.com, Industrial Bank, and the Communications Bank have also established the AI Home Intelligence Bank Joint Lab. The three parties aim to explore and develop more smart financial solutions tailored to the family environment. This initiative reflects a growing trend in the industry to bring financial services closer to consumers through innovative technology and seamless user experiences.
