ATLab develops multi-touch resistive film technology

South Korea's ATLab Inc. announced the development of Resistive Multi Touch (R-MT) technology, and Han wool Information Tech (HWIT) will be responsible for the production of the product. According to ATLab, its technology has the low-cost advantage of resistive touch screens, and its performance can surpass the iPhone.

The resistive film R-MT technology developed by ATLab is a 100% digital circuit that achieves fast response and reduced power consumption. R-MT allows users to use both finger and handwriting methods. There is no limit to the language of input. Korean, English or Chinese characters can be used. You can also zoom in or out with your finger.

In terms of production cost, R-MT also has advantages over capacitive multi-touch (C-MT). At present, ATLab has three related patents, including: KRAP10-2008-0127410; KRAP10-2009-0014944; KRAP10-2009-0028199.

The new R-MT greatly simplifies the process. It replaces the use of optical film and two ITO films with UV Ink and built-in ITO PolyCarbonate, which can significantly reduce production costs, increase product speed, and even improve yield. . It is estimated that by the above method, about 10-15% of the cost can be reduced.

ATLab Inc has developed a technology that combines the advantages of both resistive and capacitive touch. In the future, it plans to introduce customized products to provide users with ASIC solutions.
