Graz, Austria – The global automotive market continues to see strong growth in SUVs and crossovers. In 2016, the growth rate for these vehicles reached nearly 29%, prompting automakers to introduce new models to meet rising demand. Recently, Jaguar Land Rover announced that its compact SUV, the E-PACE, will be produced by Magna in Graz, Austria. This marks another collaboration between Jaguar and Magna, following the production of the I-PACE.
Production of the E-PACE is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2017. This model is set to be a key player in Jaguar’s lineup, combining performance with practicality. Some foreign media have already revealed details about the high-performance variant, the E-PACE RS. According to reports, it will feature a 3.0L V6 supercharged engine delivering up to 350 horsepower, positioning it as a competitor to models like the Audi RS Q3 and Mercedes-AMG GLA 45.
In terms of design, the E-PACE RS will sport a new carbon fiber air kit, a larger grille, and a more dynamic front bumper, giving it a bold and aggressive look. The front grille will also carry the “SVR†badge, emphasizing its performance credentials. On the sides, larger alloy wheels and red brake calipers add a sporty touch, while carbon fiber side mirrors and a roof help reduce overall weight.
Under the hood, the engine has been recalibrated for improved performance, with an estimated 0-100 km/h acceleration time of under 5.9 seconds. This combination of style and power makes the E-PACE RS a highly anticipated addition to the luxury SUV segment.
