Application Scope:

This testing machine is designed to evaluate the wear resistance of stone materials used as flooring or in similar applications. It meets the requirements of the GB/T 19766-2005 standard, ensuring accurate and reliable results for quality control purposes.

Test Requirements:

Each test group consists of four samples. The dimensions should be: length and width of 50 mm ± 0.5 mm, and thickness ranging from 15 mm to 55 mm. The edges of the samples must be rounded with a radius of approximately 0.8 mm to ensure uniform wear during testing.

Before testing, samples should be dried in an electric oven at 105°C ± 2°C and then cooled to room temperature before being placed into the abrasion testing machine.

Testing Method:

1. Dry the samples to a precision of 0.02g, then place them in the abrasion testing machine according to GB/T 2479-1996 specifications. Use white corundum particles of 0.25mm size as abrasive material. Perform the test at 225 rpm on the grinding disc, remove the sample, brush off any dust, and reweigh it to 0.02g.

2. Immerse the sample in water for 1 hour, then dry it with a damp cloth and weigh it again. Calculate the bulk density following GB/T 9966.3-2001. Since humidity can affect the abrasion performance—higher humidity may increase the wear rate—it is recommended that tests be conducted at a relative humidity of (30–40)% for consistent results.
