Application Scope:

This testing machine is specifically designed to evaluate the wear resistance of stone materials used as flooring or in similar applications. It meets the requirements of the GB/T 19766-2005 standard, ensuring accurate and reliable results for quality control and material evaluation.

Test Requirements:

Each test group consists of four samples with dimensions of length and width measuring 50 mm ± 0.5 mm, and a thickness ranging from 15 mm to 55 mm. The edges of the samples should be rounded with a radius of approximately 0.8 mm to ensure uniform contact during the wear process. Before testing, the samples must be dried in an electric oven at 105°C ± 2°C and cooled to room temperature to maintain consistent moisture levels.

Testing Method:

1. First, the dry mass of the sample is measured with an accuracy of 0.02 g. Then it is placed into the abrasion testing machine, following the guidelines set by GB/T 2479-1996. The abrasive used is white corundum with a particle size of 0.25 mm. The sample is rotated at 225 rpm on the grinding disc. Afterward, the sample is removed, cleaned of dust, and reweighed to 0.02 g.

2. Next, the sample is submerged in water for 1 hour, then wiped with a damp cloth and weighed again. The bulk density is calculated according to GB/T 9966.3-2001. Humidity can significantly affect the wear performance; higher humidity may increase the wear rate. Therefore, it is recommended that the test be conducted under controlled conditions with a relative humidity between 30% and 40%.
