As semiconductor technologies become more complex, the need for robust protection solutions is more critical than ever. In the automotive industry, for example, the demand for compact, high-performance protection components that meet stringent standards like ISO16750-2, ISO7637-2, and AECQ certification continues to rise. Littelfuse is actively working on advancing AEC-Q200 certification for fuses to ensure even greater reliability for customers.
For electric vehicles (EVs), where Battery voltages are increasing, the requirements for high-voltage and high-current fuses are becoming more demanding. Littelfuse is developing solutions that address these challenges and improve system safety and performance.

Littelfuse SLD8S Series Automotive SMTTVS Diodes Protect Automotive Electronics from Load Sudden Induction Transient Damage
In the automotive sector, Littelfuse recently launched the SLD8S series of transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes. These devices offer up to 7000W (10/1000μs) peak pulse power in a popular SMTO-263 package, with up to 57V off-state voltage. They are designed to meet rigorous automotive standards, including ISO16750-2, ISO7637-25a, and 5b load-surge tests. Ideal for applications such as powertrain systems, ECU, BMS, and ABS, these diodes are highly valued by customers.
For EV battery protection, Littelfuse introduced the L50QS and L70QS high-speed fuses, available in traditional North American plug-in packages rated up to 500V and 700V. The company is also preparing a specific test report on vehicle vibration to further boost customer confidence in its products. Littelfuse provides comprehensive solutions for PSMS harness protection, balanced sampling loops, and automotive CAN/LIN bus systems.

In the industrial market, Littelfuse has introduced the HMOV series of varistors, capable of operating at ambient temperatures up to 125°C. These devices use silicon coating technology to deliver high isolation voltages of up to 2500V and absorb surge currents of up to 10kA (8/20μs). Their high reliability makes them ideal for industrial applications requiring robust overvoltage protection.
