Google and TV manufacturers cooperate to launch smart TV

Google has signed a cooperation agreement with TV maker Vizio to integrate the functionality of Google Chromecast TV directly into the TV.

For Google and Vizio, this is a win-win decision.

Google Chromecast is a very popular product that sold over 20 million from 2013 to 2015. At the end of 2015, Google introduced the new Chromecast.

By integrating Chromecast directly into the TV set, Vizio will help users to stream online streaming video more easily without the user having to purchase additional equipment and connecting it to the TV's HDMI port.

The success factors of Google Chromecast include ease of use, small size, and a low price of 35 dollars. Just plug Chromecast into the TV's HDMI port and connect it to your home WiFi network so that users can transfer content from YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and Spotify platforms from mobile phones, tablets, and computers to the TV screen.

(Amazon did not provide Chromecast-compatible services. The company refused to support Google TV technology, but instead promoted its own Amazon Fire TV and Fire TVStick TV sticks.)

According to Variety's report, Google is still negotiating with more TV manufacturers, trying to integrate Chromecast features into the products of these vendors. Google’s other attempts in the TV field, such as Android TV may not be successful, but Chromecast is expected to become the standard technology for users to watch videos in the living room. This is the goal that Google has been eager to achieve for many years.

Vizio had previously attempted to independently develop interconnected television devices, such as Roku-like set-top boxes. However, Vizio's products are based on Yahoo Internet TV services. In Yahoo's product line, this service has been closed.

Google has not yet responded to this news.
