STMicroelectronics has introduced its new Industrial-Plus series of serial EEPROMs, designed to operate reliably in extreme temperatures up to 105°C. These memory devices are ideal for industrial applications where stability and performance under harsh conditions are essential. They offer designers greater flexibility by eliminating the need for PCB redesign when updating system data parameters.

The 34 new products are available in both M24 (I2C) and M95 (SPI) series, with memory capacities ranging from 2Kbits to 512Kbits. They come in pin-compatible SO8N or TSSOP packages, ensuring easy integration into existing designs. Enhanced reliability allows these devices to function effectively in high-temperature environments, making them suitable for demanding applications.

These EEPROMs are well-suited for advanced industrial control systems, networking equipment, smart lighting solutions, intelligent power switches, server components, and wireless communication modules that require operation in tough conditions. ST's innovative manufacturing process and compact packaging help engineers reduce system size, weight, and overall cost without compromising performance.

With a fast 4ms write time and support for clock frequencies up to 20MHz, these devices are perfect for high-speed data storage and rapid data transfer applications. Each chip can handle up to 4MB of write/erase operations at once. Additionally, the internal device identification code enables secure traceability systems, allowing designers to protect sensitive information such as product serial numbers, unique identifiers, or tracking data using built-in write protection pages.
