On November 29, 2015, under the commission of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the Liaoning Industry and Information Technology Commission organized an expert panel to evaluate the first batch of smart manufacturing special projects titled "Research on Key Application Standards for Digital Workshops in the Field of Sensor Manufacturing." This project was led by the Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After a thorough review, the expert group unanimously approved the project's completion.
The expert team included members from the National Intelligent Manufacturing Standardization Expert Consultation Group, as well as technical and financial experts from universities and industry enterprises. Representatives from the Liaoning Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, including Ma Zhongbin, Director of the Construction Promotion Division, and Hu Yuyuan, Director of the Technical Department at the Shenyang Institute of Automation, attended the meeting.
The project leader, Shi Haibo, presented the project’s findings on behalf of the research team. Li Yu and Fang Bingjun, associate researchers, delivered detailed technical reports on two draft standards: "General Technical Requirements" and "Safety Requirements and Assessment Methods." The expert group carefully reviewed the completeness and rationality of the acceptance data, conducted on-site inspections, tested the standard verification platform, and reviewed video evidence from Chongqing Shengsheng Photoelectric Co., Ltd. to confirm the practical application of the standards.
After extensive discussions and questioning, the expert group concluded that the project had successfully completed all required tasks. The research report, draft standards, and experimental verification platform were all submitted in full. The standards were validated through multiple methods, including field testing and platform evaluation. The project also adhered strictly to budget guidelines, ensuring proper use of special funds. The standards have already been applied in digital workshops of sensor manufacturing companies in Chongqing, offering valuable guidance for industrial enterprises looking to digitize their operations.
The two draft standards developed by the project are expected to play a key role in shaping the planning, construction, and operation of digital workshops in the sensor industry and other IT-related manufacturing sectors. The experimental platform created can serve as an open-source resource for enterprises, providing a public platform for research, testing, and evaluation of digital workshop technologies. This will significantly support the broader implementation of these standards across the industry.
Moreover, the achievements of this project have strengthened the capabilities of the Shenyang Institute of Automation as a leading provider of intelligent manufacturing solutions. These advancements will help accelerate the smart transformation of manufacturing enterprises not only in Liaoning but across the entire country.
