Not only is it directly reducing the amount of electricity used for lighting, but it also reduces the cost of air conditioning in the summer by increasing the efficiency of the air conditioner. Since the convection caused by the heat dissipation of the illumination is weakened, the operation rate of the air conditioner and the exhaust fan can be reduced.

The concept of energy-saving lighting will be introduced in new stores opened in the future.

When designing energy-efficient lighting, what problems existed before that surfaced?

Takemura: Through this improvement, I found that there was a lot of waste in lighting. The original store lighting set too many lamps for creating the atmosphere. This time, the role of each lamp was fully considered, and the number of lamps used was reduced according to the use.

How to make LEDs and halogen lamps perform their duties?

Takemura: LEDs have higher illumination but poor color rendering. Therefore, it can be used as an indirect illumination for illuminating walls. The material that properly represents the pillar creates an atmosphere. The lighting fixtures are made by Japanese manufacturers, and the LEDs are made by Chinese manufacturers. The reason is that Chinese manufacturers have larger LED illumination surfaces. Since the LED surface of the Japanese manufacturer is small, there is a problem that the central illumination is dark after light scattering. The LED products of the Chinese manufacturers adopted this time are not inferior to the halogen lamps of the same illumination. The power consumption has dropped from 50W to 4W, achieving a significant reduction.

Japanese manufacturers have begun to introduce adjustable LEDs such as illumination for nearly a year. This product is worth looking forward to.

What do you need to popularize energy-efficient lighting?

Takemura: Designers are extremely important to the awareness of energy-efficient lighting. It is difficult for lighting fixture manufacturers to achieve energy-efficient lighting. Because they are more eager to set up lighting fixtures. Designers and designers of large builders must design lighting from the point of view of energy efficiency, so that even users without illumination knowledge such as illumination can achieve energy-efficient lighting. In short, it is necessary to focus on energy-saving lighting like seismic design.

It is easier to popularize energy-saving lighting in the food industry than imagined. There are only 25 to 50 well-known designers in Japan. Most of them mainly design western restaurants. As long as well-known designers take the lead in adopting energy-efficient lighting, energy-efficient lighting can be quickly popularized.

The price of LED lighting fixtures for residential buildings is still very high

Sumitomo Forestry's model business is targeted at model houses that are co-located with the firm. There are many options for adopting LEDs in this approved model business, but why does Sumitomo Forestry use almost no LEDs?

The goal of the medium-sized armpit board business is to reduce the power consumption by 30% as a whole. By using high-efficiency fluorescent lamps, the number of lamps can be reduced to about half of the original, and the expected target can be achieved.

LEDs are only used at the entrance and reception. Our business is mainly for the realization of energy-saving lighting in residential areas, which is aimed at ordinary consumers. It has also been considered that LEDs will be fully used if the price of LEDs is low, but the cost of LEDs is still high. Although the LED has the advantage of reducing the power consumption by about 40% and having a long service life, the price is also five times that of the fluorescent lamp. The current situation is that it is more effective to use LEDs with a service life of 10 to 20 years for the difficulty in replacing lighting fixtures such as halls. It's easy to advertise its value to users.

In terms of LED specifications, products with low color rendering in the past are now available with high color rendering products, and we are also very concerned. In 2015, the blueprint manufacturers who have made the luminous efficiency exceed the fluorescent lamps have also been published, and we plan to introduce them gradually in the future.

Looking at the current stage of housing, what is the effective way to save energy?

In the middle of the scene, changing the lighting, taking into account low power consumption and comfort is essential. It is necessary to re-examine the design idea of ​​uniformly illuminating one room and one lamp in each corner of the room through a chandelier (CeilingLight).

For example, basic lighting can be achieved with 3 lamps, each using a 15W bulb-type fluorescent lamp. Because the use of indirect lighting to illuminate the wall can bring out a sense of brightness.

There are problems with bright lighting in Japanese rooms today. However, no matter how to tell consumers that there is no illumination on the ceiling of the room, it is okay for consumers to only look at the drawings. Designers are also worried that after the actual renovation of the house, the user will not be satisfied that the room is too dark. Therefore, I hope that more people can realize the experience of the model room of energy-saving lighting. The feeling of brightness varies from person to person. If the experience recognizes this brightness and feels comfortable, it should be able to promote the application in reality.
